  • Abstract
    In this paper a new plasma experiment, the Paschen Curve, is added to e-lab a remote laboratory. In this experiment the conditions at which the transition from gas to plasma happens are explored by studying breakdown voltage of said gas, that is the voltage at which the plasma is formed, between parallel electrodes as function of pressure and the distance between plates. Since the plasma is a good conductor, as opposed to the gas, it is fairly easy to verify this transition by watching at the current drawn from power supply. This experiment also demonstrates the feature of e-lab architecture in which experiments can be remotely added to the central controlling server.
