Abstract :
Laboratory training and student research work are extremely important components characterizing the level and efficiency of engineering education. The remote-access laboratory created in the Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU) is designed for students of BMSTU and other universities to conduct experimental research and practical training by operating sophisticated plasma devices intended for studying and application of nanotechnologies. At the initial stage, students can study and adjust the working parameters of the servicing subsystems. They are given the opportunity to study and use the unique equipment and the newest experimental methods. Senior-year students can get access to individual remote control of plasma devices and carry out comprehensive experimental research on the generation and acceleration of particles in the DC magnetron sputtering system designed for nano-coating deposition and formation of particle fluxes with required characteristics.
