Research on the relationship between enterprise size, ownership structure and R&D Investment

Innovation becomes the main factor which enterprises are concerned about and scholars have studied innovation from many perspectives. Through studying the relationship between firm size and R&D, scholars find that firm size has an influence on the innovative activities of firms, but so far there is still no definite conclusion. According to the foreign studies, ownership structure can affect the enterprises\´ innovative activities; while it has not been authenticated during the period of economic transition in China. Taking listed companies of non-financial industry as searching subjects, this paper studies the relations between enterprise size, ownership structure and R&D investment. By using the variance analysis, it results that the relation between enterprise size and R&D is inclined "V" character shape, but it does not find any obvious relations between ownership structure and R&D investments.
