Abstract
Patent as the most important form of innovation output, has become one of the important factors of regional economy development. According to China´s traditional economic zoning and the patent classification, our country is divided into eastern, central, western and north-east four regions, patent is divided into invention, utility model and design three types, and this paper builds power function model between patents granted and GDP based on the data of 2001-2011. Through regression analysis, this paper explores three different type patents´ different impact of the GDP in different regions. Combined with the characteristics of patent types, this paper explores the reasons from many perspectives of industrial structure and market openness in different regions, and put forward some economic development recommendations of each region.
