Abstract :
Conventional mean filtering and median filtering were used for noise reduction for medical X-ray images but suffered from losing detail information. This paper proposed improved noise reduction algorithms which reduce white noise mixed with salt and pepper noise while remain more details. The improvements are based on combination with mean filter, median filter and threshold filter. Simulation experiments show that the proposal can effectively increase medical X-ray image SNR and get better visual effect.
