Abstract
Traditional spectrum estimation of harmonics has been developed under the condition that the sub-space vectors of noises are Gaussian distributed, but the variance which is the second order statistics of fractional lower order stable distribution is infinite value. This paper briefly introduce the statistical characteristics of alpha stable distribution, analyses the fractional order correlation matrix structure through the definition of the fractional p-order correlation, proposes a new method of frequency estimation under alpha-stable noise conditions based on the traditional ESPRIT method. The simulation results show that the proposed method is more robust than the traditional ESPRIT.
