Abstract :
In the view of the world, animation industry has become a cultural nascent industry with great potential, especially in such countries as America, Japan, Korea and some European countries and regions where animation industry has become an important pillar industry. Chinese animation industry is in its starting period at present and there exist a number of problems in its development process. In order to promote the development of animation industry, theoretical research on animation industry increases gradually; but the research on animation industry in China is relatively weak, and discussions about how to take advantage of local resources to strengthen the competitiveness of Chinese animation industry are very few. This paper uses Michael Porter´s Diamond Theory as a basic analytical framework to analyze the opportunities and challenges that the Chinese animation industry is faced with, based on this, it puts forward the competitive advantages that Chinese animation industry possesses, hoping that it will offer reference for the improvement of Chinese animation industry´s international market competiveness.
