Abstract :
A fuzzy logic and active contour model based image segmentation for synthetic aperture radar images is proposed. Fuzzy inference engine is used to assign weights to pixels of the level set function based on local entropy and local variance. Higher weights are assigned to pixels having less local entropy and less local variance. Simulation show that the proposed scheme improves the segmentation results in terms of efficiency and accuracy.
