  • Abstract
    This paper proposes a copyright- and privacy-protected image trading system where consumer´s information is fingerprinted into an encrypted image by a trusted third party. Distinctly from the latest copyright- and privacy-protected image trading systems, this paper proposes a more practical and effective image trading system in which image compression by JPEG 2000 is introduced. By applying random signs to discrete wavelet transformed (DWTed) coefficients of an image, where DWT is used in JPEG 2000, the image is visually protected as well as amplitude-only images in the latest systems. Only a seed number which is input to the pseudo random number generator is shared between a content provider and a consumer, whereas they share an extra image in conventional systems. The experimental results show that the proposed method is superior to the latest copyright- and privacy-protected image trading system combined with JPEG 2000 in terms of compression performance. In addition, the experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method in terms of fingerprinting performance.
