Abstract :
In this paper, we propose turbo code as the efficient channel coding technique for pulse based ultra wideband (UWB) ad-hoc network. UWB is a prospective radio technology for wireless ad-hoc network. The pulse based UWB is done via AWGN channel. The PPM scheme with data rate of 480 Mbps, 200 Mbps and 110 Mbps is considered to compare the performance of image. The performance of turbo code for pulse based UWB with jpeg image is evaluated by bit error rate (BER) and packet error rate (PER). The transmission delay can be improvement more than 20%.
