Abstract :
A great earthquake and its following great tsunami occurred on 11th March 2011 in Japan. The agricultural fields along the coast were submerged under the sea water. For detecting such areas, the combined adaptive threshold with mathematical morphology opening method and the morphological profiles method are tested using ALOS/PALSAR and AVNIR-2 data. The results roughly coincide with the actual Tsunami reached line.
