Abstract :
This paper presents a new signal modelling method for bistatic inverse synthetic aperture radar (B-ISAR), compared to available method, which is more suitable for the B-ISAR imaging configuration, has a clearer physical concept and at the same time gives us a more profound understanding about B-ISAR imaging. The imaging results obtained from this return signal model reveal some special characteristics of B-ISAR, which will also be discussed in this paper. Finally some simulation results will be shown to validate the method.
