Abstract :
Integration of distributed generations (DGs) to electrical power systems is now being increasingly applied to act as an auxiliary source of energy with the main power feeder. For the nowadays trend of relying on the renewable energy resources as solutions for environmentally sustainable energy production, Photovoltaic (PV) generators - which are considered a type of inverter-based distributed generators - are considered as one of the promising solutions. In this paper, power flow analysis is presented to assess the performance of a distribution system with grid connected DGs. Multiple load flow solution is used to find the optimal location of DGs while monitoring the network losses and voltage profile at different cases of DGs´ locations within the distribution system.
