Abstract :
For at least a decade, Romanian citizens are the last in European classification of health. In the European Union (EU) we are the country in which most of the children under the age of a year die, we are on the first place as regards mortality due to cervical cancer, we are the European people whose women live the less and the European country with the lowest number of medical devices used for complex investigations in hospitals and also the country situated on the third place in Europe in terms of obesity. By these studies on the evolution of the health status of the Romanian population, using Markov chains, we intend to draw attention on the growing trend of mortality due to certain diseases. Disease prevention is much cheaper, effective and less painful than the treatment itself.
