Abstract :
A system which can synchronize EEG and Video signal is reported in this paper. For such system, the major problem is how to achieve high accuracy. Our solution is based on the high performance counter, which is an ordinary part of most computers in recent years. The time stamp is recorded in every single PC when any event happens instead of sending a command at the same time which is the ordinary method. Before grabbing signals, the start points of time stamp are calibrated by sending a short code circularly in order to find the timestamp corresponding to the shortest duration. Experiments show that the oscillator frequency got by system API is not reliable, so the coefficient has to be calibrated for every PC, and the result show that least square method can achieve satisfied accuracy. The system has potential values in real application, such as affective computing or micro expression recognition.
