Abstract :
The research on water-jet propulsion technology is not deep enough in China at present. Especially the control system of water-jet propulsion is still in its primary stage. Therefore the overall scheme design of control system of water-jet propulsion was made with the single-machine single pump monohull as the research object. The selection of main engine and the water-jet propulsion pump was made. A mathematical model of the system was established on these bases. The PID controller of diesel engine speed and the speed fuzzy controller of water-jet propulsion system were designed. The overall system model was obtained on the MATLAB/SIMULINK platform. Then dynamic simulation was performed in the designed working conditions to find that the control system can timely track the changes in the set value of speed after the fuzzy control and the dynamic performances are good.
