Abstract :
This paper focuses on the noncoherent iterative detection of continuous phase modulation in the presence of fast varying phase noise. A class of simplified receiver based on eigen-value analysis and exponential window (EW) is proposed and evaluated in terms of minimum achievable Euclidean distance and simulated bit error rate. The state-reduction techniques are also considered in this paper, including reduced state sequence detection and mismatched filters etc. Analytical and numerical results reveal that the proposed receiver can approach the coherent performance and outperforms existing algorithms in terms of complexity and performance.
