Abstract :
In Release 10 of TD-LTE-Advanced standard, the technique of relay is introduced to extend the network coverage, improve the cell-edge performance and increase the fairness among users. Resource allocation is an important issue in relay-enhanced TD-LTE-Advanced system, and in this paper, a downlink resource allocation algorithm considering direct link, backhaul link and access link is proposed. The proposed algorithm can be divided into two stages, in the first stage, users´ requirement based dynamic frequency portioning algorithm is proposed to allocate frequency resources between Macro UEs and Relay UEs properly, and in the second stage, a backhaul link resource allocation algorithm based on the information of user queue is presented to improve the performance of Relay-UEs. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can improve system throughput and increase fairness among different users at the same time.
