Abstract :
We present a novel wideband on-chip antenna operating at 60 GHz, which can be easily fabricated with standard CMOS technology. An asymmetric bell-shaped planar structure is employed to improve the overall performance of the antenna. The proposed antenna is fed by a GCPW (Grounded-Coplanar Waveguide) structure. The simulated maximum gain is 0.76 dB, the radiation efficiency is 62%, and the bandwidth (-10 dB) covers from 55 GHz to 67 GHz (WPAN band).
