Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an experimental validation of a novel hardware-reduced digital beamformer. Particular to this receiver is the use of a coding technique that allows a single analog-to-digital converter to serve all antenna array elements. The proposed validation testbed consists of two signal path receiver with discrete off-the-shelf components. The digital post-processing and beamforming is performed using a field programmable gate array (FPGA).
