Abstract :
A harmonic suppressed reconfigurable slot antenna is designed and implemented for the operating frequency range of 5-6 GHz. An off-center microstrip line structure is used to excite the resonant slot antenna at its dominant mode. To suppress the undesired higher-order harmonics, a harmonic-suppressed configuration is also integrated into the slot antenna. Furthermore, this configuration reduces the antenna size. This antenna is also capable to tune a frequency range of 5-6 GHz without any harmonics up to 18 GHz. The measurement results confirm the integrity of the simulated ones.
