            Abstract : 
A method for controlling the phase progression and power flow of electromagnetic fields within a region of space is presented. The method describes how to design 2D inhomogeneous, anisotropic media based on desired spatial distributions of the wave vector and Poynting vector direction. Plane-wave relations in anisotropic media and an optimization process are used to find the required material parameters.
