  • Abstract
This paper describes the combination of the electric field driven LC (ELC) resonator structure and the cave ELC structure to behave as a dual band microwave absorber in C-band using single dielectric layer. The geometric dimensions are optimized parametrically so that the absorptions take place at the well-defined FCC radar frequency band. The proposed structure shows absorbance values of 95.3% and 88.4% at the frequencies of 5.34 GHz and 5.94 GHz respectively. The structure is also studied for oblique incidences of the incident wave as well as for different angle of polarizations showing that the absorption of the structure is more than 80% upto 30° for both the cases.
