  • Abstract
    Babinet´s principle is often invoked for the entire discussion of slot antenna modeling. However, slot antennas are often offset fed or dielectric backed, and dipole expressions are often derived for cylinders not ribbons (the true inverse of a slot). An investigation is detailed into the applicability of Babinet´s principle to analytical models of cylindrical offset fed dipoles to describe the behavior of slot antennas.
