Abstract
The potential of dielectric resonators in creating an ultra-wide spectrum sensing antennas is experimentally investigated in this work. To ably realize this potential, the application of hybrid techniques including, multi resonant structures, composite materials, step matching method, and dielectric shaping approach in creating the desired bandwidth are described. In addition, the electromagnetic radiation mechanism of the structure is delineated to identify the nature of such ultra wideband operating response. The presented primary simulation results are calculated using CST Microwave Studio.
