Abstract :
Spiral antenna is designed to be implanted in brain. It operates in the Medical Implant Communication Service (MICS) band. The antenna is simulated using CST microwave studio and fabricated on Rogers 4350 of thickness 1.524mm, relative permittivity of 3.66 and loss tangent of 0.04. It is implanted in brain phantom to detect the early stage of tumor existence. It is measured in a brain phantom using the network analyzer. There is a good agreement between the measured and simulated results.
