Abstract :
The performance of traction motors in high speed railway train is not only related to motor parameters, but also closely affected by control strategy including flux-weakening. The suitable approach to consider motor nonlinearity and control strategy together is adopting co-simulation method. In this paper, a convenient co-simulation model of one traction unit is erected, which combines finite element method (FEM) with control simulation. The FEM model of traction motor is built in software Easimotor, control system including electrical circuit and control strategy is established in Portunus workbench, and the traction motor is controlled by rotor field oriented control (FOC) strategy. With this co-simulation model and traditional analytical method (AM) model, the performance is analyzed and compared. From the results, it can be acknowledged that the deviation of traditional model is opposite at low speed and high speed region.
