Abstract :
A hybrid integration of silica arrayed-waveguide gratings, couplers and a high-speed PLZT switch array is reported for the first time. A 1×2 wavelength selective switch is fabricated. The channel spacing is 200 GHz and the number of channels is 20. The switching time is less than 13 ns.
