Abstract
A realization technique of optical CDMA spectral-coding with bipolar Walsh codes based on SLM codecs was proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The proposal utilizes the phase delay characteristics of SLM to construct our SLM encoder/decoder. The spectral decoder verified the correlations of the Walsh codes and showed that binary data could be recovered by correlation detection. This paper also demonstrated that the system rejects multiple-access interference.
