Abstract :
In this study two resonance waveguide gratings with different materials were designed to enhance luminescence effect. The optimization and the fabrication steps of the gratings are described. The theoretical enhancement of the energy densities inside the luminescent material were 1100- and 5200-fold for the two gratings.
