Abstract :
A microperiodic structure composed of polymer and liquid crystal phases, called holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal (HPDLC), is fabricated based on a photo-induced phase separation technique by laser interferometric exposure. The diffraction wavelength of HPDLC formed by different grating structures is experimentally investigated by spectroscopic measurements as a function of temperature at around 35°C. The HPDLC volume gratings composed of different film thickness show the controllability of diffraction wavelength between visible and infrared lights with a rise in temperature.
