  • Abstract
    Nanoscale Au materials are very promising optical materials for a wide range of applications. Development of facile preparation methods of new nanostructured Au materials with good optical properties is an urgent theme. We have developed simple new methods for nanoscale Au materials. 2-Thiophene derivatives can behave both as a reducing agent for Au precursor and surface capping ligands to guide the nanostructures of Au.
