Abstract
The IEEE 802.15.4e amendment provides different ways over which Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) can be deployed, even with strict requirements in terms of latency and determinism; still, there seems to be room for improvement. This paper proposes an enhancement for IEEE 802.15.4e LLDN mode, focusing on the worst-case latency for high-priority traffic. An analytical comparison with standard LLDN is then performed and evaluated.
