Abstract :
In this work we explore various methods for rendering video stream through OpenGL ES on Smart TV platform and applying 2D or 3D graphical effects on it. We discus some of the main difficulties encountered and we evaluate some solutions. They are based on using basic OpenGL ES 2.0 functionalities and low level GFX operation. Developed system described here is used primary as tech demonstrator on Marvell MV88DE3100 hardware platform.
