  • Abstract
    In this thesis, a kind of high-speed, close range, low power underwater optical communication system is designed based on LED. The system adopts transmitter system based on high power blue LEDs and receiver system based on photo-multiplier tube(PMT), in order to achieve the goal of transmitting data at rates of 1 Mbps over distances of at least 10 meters.
