Abstract
In this paper, we give a brief description of the evolution of the optics of FAST telescope. Several milestones that lead to the current FAST concept are presented. These include the lightweight focus suspension, active main reflector, backward illumination and new feed technology such as Phase Array Feed, etc. A perspective for future development is given in the end.
