Abstract :
Schumann Resonances (SRs) are simulated and analyzed in this work using the geodesic finite-difference time-domain (GFDTD) method coupled with the international reference ionosphere (IRI). Through simulations, global lightning activities are considered as excitations and real environmental parameters of the Earth-ionosphere system are introduced. Simulation results obtained with analytic ionosphere models are also included in order to compare with our simulation results.
