Abstract
Large scale mobile data is valuable for extracting context in open physical world. In this paper, we propose a spatio-temporal context query framework in open space based on GPS data. The framework consists of three parts: GPS data, query engine, and user interface. It aims at providing query for contexts like crowd position and movement. First, the framework adopts status-based indexing method for data management. Second, it offers users a query interface with natural statement handling and a friendly visualization interface by using Web Map API. Finally, we implement a prototype based on campus GPS data for providing context query service in campus.
