Abstract :
This paper discussed about the severe weather in the National Airspace System significantly contributes to flight delay. MITRE/CAASD is undertaking simulation modeling to assess the benefit of a tactical rerouting capability. Necessary inputs for the simulation model are weather-caused delay in en route airspace . Research and analysis to determine these delays are the topic of this presentation.
