  • Abstract
    This paper covers two aspects of microstrip antenna designs. The First aspect is the analysis and design of trapezoidal patch with V-shaped slot microstrip antenna which produce dual band operation occurred resonance of which the first band is 3.26 - 3.38 GHz and second band is 5.13 - 5.96 GHz, operating in the WLAN Band. The Second aspect is the analysis and design of trapezoidal patch with H-shaped slot microstrip antenna which provide single band operation and operates at the central frequency of 4.48 GHz and occurred resonance between 4.07-4.94 GHz which operated in INSAT/Super extended C-band for receiving purpose. The simulated and measured reflection characteristics of the antenna along with gain are presented and discussed and the proposed antenna is implemented on RT-Duroid with εr=2.2 and h=6 mm.
