Abstract

Analysis of both interactions and roles of fuzzy agents during product configuration in a collaborative design platform is proposed. The modeling of fuzzy agents and its illustration for a collaborative design platform are presented. During design process, fuzzy agents grouped in communities interact and perform fuzzy design roles to converge towards solutions of product configuration. In this platform, more realistic and effective design decisions are made by fuzzy agents since fuzzy design information is considered in both fuzzy interaction design process and fuzzy evolving design system. A case study of product configuration illustrates the analysis of fuzzy agents´ roles.
