Abstract
In this paper, the authors discuss the influence of the low-voltage distribution line for power and light on the sparkover rate of 6.6 kV power distribution line based on the numerical calculation by the EMTP. The low-voltage distribution line installed below the 6.6 kV distribution line contributes to the decrease of the sparkover rate of the 6.6 kV line mainly due to the branching effect to the lightning current in case of direct strokes to the 6.6kV line including the concrete pole.
