  • Abstract
    Intellemo is a mobile instant messaging application with intelligent emotion identification module which extracts the emotions from the chat conversation of one party and presents to the other party using a graphical template. As emotions play an important part in every aspect of human life this research addresses a problem that prevails in the lives of a large audience. This application is built based on Oracle text mining Support Vector Machines (SVM) algorithms for classification and Extensible Message and Presence Protocol (XMPP) to establish the communication between the Intellemo application server and the smartphone. Human Computer Interaction (HCI) methodologies are used to improve the quality focusing mainly on the user experience and the usability of the application. A business model is also present in the application giving the ability to buy emotion representation templates from the market place for users to customize their emotion representation templates as they prefer.
