Abstract :
This paper presents the analysis of simple, compact, CPW- fed monopole aperture antenna with 10dB return loss (VSWR<;2) band from 8 GHz to 12GHz for X-band applications. The antenna includes ground plane, rectangular slot and a crossed rectangular exciting stub. The antenna is very simple and easy to fabricate. The proposed antenna is designed on an inexpensive FR4_Epoxy substrate with dielectric constant of εr =4.4 and with the size of 30mm×25mm×1.5mm The fundamental parameters of the antenna such as bandwidth return loss, radiation pattern, and gain are obtained All justifies the acceptable antenna standards. Simulation tool, based on the finite element method (HFSS V 13.0) has been used to analyze and optimize the proposed antenna Antenna is applicable for radar and satellite communication system It covers complete X-band (8-12) GHz and having the efficiency of 97%.
