Abstract :
A small size printed monopole with coupled-fed multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna is presented which covers the frequency bands LTE700 (747-790 MHz), GPS L1 (1485-1585 MHZ), IMT2100, WLAN, and LTE2600. Each antenna element occupies small volume i.e. 24 × 22.5 mm2 of large mobile circuit board of area 120 × 60 mm2. To maintain the small size of the antenna elements, meandered line and loop strip with end terminal short-circuited to the ground plane is chosen. A slot and a dual inverted L-shaped ground branch are added in the ground plane to decrease the mutual coupling between the antenna elements.
