Prof. Dr. Hans P. Geering, 1942 - 2014 [Obituary]

A brief biography of Dr. Hans P. Geering is given highlighting his professional achievements. He was an associate editor-at-large (1987??1989) for IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, an associate editor (1993??1996) for IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, an IEEE Life Fellow, an Associate Fellow of AIAA, and a member of many other societies. He supervised 36 dissertations, published over 170 journal and conference articles, and wrote the book "Optimal Control with Engineering Applications" (Springer-Verlag, 2007).
