Abstract :
As a new framework for motion and vibration control of mechanical systems, a methodology of active/semi-active hybrid control is considered in the present paper. In the active/semi-active hybrid control, the control objects have actuators that generate the active control force or moment and the semi-active control devices that have a capability to change the damping and/or stiffness characteristics of mechanical systems. A control structure composed of a gain-scheduling controller and a supervisor is proposed for the control system design problem.
