Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a new method of traffic simulation, which combines the parallel traffic model with the network-based cellular automatic. To establish the parallel microscopic traffic system, we put emphasis on the construction of the urban road traffic microscopic simulation model and the development of corresponding simulation software system, which is on the basis of the space domain decomposition and scatters computing tasks to each node machine in the large-scale road network traffic simulation. To complete the whole simulation process in parallel way, the coordination of the microscopic traffic simulation model and cellular automata is proposed in the new model systems, such as, traffic demand model, network description model, scheme description model, vehicle model and network analysis model, which realize the orthogonal recursive bisection method and the multilevel segmentation method of road network segmentation algorithm.
