Abstract :
Synthesis of Li4Ti5O12/soda lime silica composites has been carried out for anode component on lithium ceramic battery. The method for synthesis Li4Ti5O12 was SSR (solid state reaction) from Li2CO3 and TiO2 powders. All lithium based material was calcined at 700°C for 2 hours, then ball milling to achieve the particles finer and pass through to the filter of less than 400 mesh. Prior to sintering the powders were soluted in 99% methanol to make paste. Li4Ti5O12 paste was sintered at various temperature from 750°C, 800°C, 850°C, 900°C to 950°C for 2 hours to obtained the optimum electrical properties. The phases formed after sintering were identified by XRD. The conductivity in grain and grain boundary were obtained by AC Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and it is found that the optimum conductivity was ~ 1.0 10-7 S/cm after sintering at 850°C for 2 hours.
