Abstract :
The present paper deals with a new efficient approach to the shooting and bouncing rays (SBR) - SBR based on Persistence of Vision Ray Tracer (POV-Ray). The new method was able to achieve fast radar image formation compared with the previous method. The developed method was implemented to calculate the radar cross section (RCS) of a trihedral corner reflector and the radar image of the Slicy model. The calculated results validate the efficiency and accuracy of the developed technique.
